Scott Farwell

Scott Farwell is a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer, owner of CrossFit Twinsburg and a US Army Veteran. With a background in Mixed Martial Arts and European Rugby League Scott is no stranger to the health and fitness world. Marriage, fatherhood, and becoming “Fat and Happy” led him to discovering CrossFit. Within one month he was hooked, and within 6 months he ran his first Tough Mudder.  His new found love for CrossFit inspired him to open his own gym so that he could transform other people’s lives as well. Scott’s motto is “Mission First – People Always.”

Sean McDowell

Coach

Sean Bio PicSean McDowell joined CrossFit Twinsburg in 2015 and received his Level 1 Certificate in July 2016.  Sean coaches and does the daily programming for CFT.  His favorite part about coaching is seeing athletes grow and achieve goals that once felt unrealistic.  Sean works with athletes of all ages, including teens. He directed Teens Camp at CrossFit Twinsburg and worked with young athletes to prepare them for fall sports.

Sean loves spending time with his wife and their two daughters.

Caitlin Cormack

Coach

Caitlin Bio PicCaitin Cormack began Crossfit in 2016 and started coaching at CrossFit Twinsburg in 2017 after receiving her CrossFit Level 1 Certificate.  She has 11 years of experience coaching swimming for athletes of all ages and levels including infants, state-qualifying high school athletes, and adults. She has been coaching high school cross-country and track for 6 years and currently coaches at Bedford High School.

Prior to coaching, Caitlin was a Division I Collegiate Swimmer for the University of Toledo where she was First Team All Mid-American Conference. She still holds several top 10 swim records. 

Outside of the gym, her favorite things include riding dirt bikes and horses, Taylor Swift, and working hard with her CFT family.

Lauren Deptola

Coach

Lauren Deptola has been a member of the CrossFit Twinsburg family since 2017 and joined the coaching staff in 2018 after receiving her CrossFit Level 1 Certificate. Lauren is active in the local fitness community and is also the lead instructor at CycleBar in Hudson.

Jim Eller

Jim is so happy to be a part of the Crossfit Twinsburg family. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and has been a personal trainer of over 20 years and has been doing Crossfit since 2013.
Jim played college football for Mount Union University where he played on two national championship teams. He loves how Crossfit rekindled his ‘inner athlete’.
Jim enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking. He also loves working as a youth ministry leader and also for the National Ski Patrol.

Courtney Werner

Coach

FullSizeR2Courtney grew up in northeast Ohio and has been in Virginia since 2015. As a former 6th grade math teacher, Courtney enjoys being knowledgeable on movements and helping people achieve success. She received her Level 1 in the Spring of 2016.
Courtney was a collegiate long distance runner at Bloomsbury University of Pennsylvania. With a background in solely cardio-style training, Courtney finds CrossFit to be a perfect option for all athletes because of its varying skills and ability to scale for all athletes.
Since starting CrossFit in 2015, she has continued to fall in love with the sport more each day. You will often find her working out with friends, socializing and encouraging others to enjoy it just as much!

Shannon Eller

Instructor

image1 (1)Shannon has been a Personal Trainer, Bodybuilding Coach, and Group Fitness Coach for over 20 years.  She has created her own personal style of workouts that incorporates some bodybuilding exercises, full body power moves (or ‘CrossFit’ moves), and plyometrics to keep heart rates high.  Shannon also is a certified Nutrition Specialist and loves to help people with nutrition, as this is her biggest passion and also the biggest hurdle she has faced personally. 

Shannon leads and programs our BURN classes, as well as works as our nutrition specialist.
